Production Tax Credits
In order to attract film production and its accompanied economic benefits,
a number of states have initiated film production tax credit programs.
These programs provide a subsidy to attract production companies for
their “state spend”.
Film Production Tax Credits are very attractive because of the simplicity
of the transaction. The credits are in the form of a certificate which
is provided by the state after the costs of the production are certified.
The programs that we offer contain provisions that limit recapture
and let the investor carry the credits forward for multiple years.
Film Production Tax Credits can be used to offset state corporate
income tax and in some cases premium and/or franchise taxes.
